The Andes Mountain Range is one of the most popular in the Province of Chubut. In addition to far-famed Route 40, the 42° parallel Andean Shire and Los Alerces Shire (where the National Park bearing the same name is located), several cities of high tourist significance, such as Lago Puelo (which shares scenery with its sister El Bolsón, in Río Negro), Esquel and Welsh Trevelin are located in the area. All of them offer the chance to enjoy majestic lakes and crystal-clear rivers that wind across forests and mountains, ideal settings for various outdoor adventure activities.
