Cinco Chorros Waterfall

The Cinco Chorros waterfall is one of the interpretive walks offered by the Pampa de Achala, amid the imposing rave and condor flights.

Water jumps are walks that refresh, connect with the senses and let you appreciate the biodiversity and beauty of nature in a more conscious way. Many of these waterfalls are well hidden, such as Cinco Chorros, deep in the Quebrada del Condorito National Park.

Interpretive short trekking
This Cordoba experience can only be planned with guidance because the trail is quite wild and lacks demarcations. It is a walk that offers another view of the park, refuge of the Andean condor, much more in contact with the rugged environment of the Pampa de Achala.

Quebrada del Condorito National Park is located in the Sierras Grandes de Córdoba, about 90 km from the capital city, and protects the Chaco serrano ecoregion. The High Summits route joins the towns of Villa Carlos Paz and Mina Clavero. Halfway through is the access to the park, in the place La Pampilla. The Park Visitor Center is the last point to arrive by car. From there depart different proposals of walks to the balconies of the ravo.

The trekking "Secret Under Our Feet" is a tour that immerses visitors in small havens of peace and tranquility, deep connection with the noises of nature and the sound of water sliding between the stones until reaching the waterfall. It is an interpretive walk that counts on the ground and the process of water retention as a sponge throughout the region. The Cinco Chorros waterfall, as many streams, slopes and lagoons of the region, is part of the complex water reserve of the Pampa de Achala.

The park forms a conservation center along with the Pampa de Achala that extends between 1900 and 2300 meters above sea level. The ravine of granitic composition crosses the plain as a cruurron, constituting a refuge for the Andean condor. This scar in geology favors the flight of the pigeon condors, so the population of this Andean species is an essential part of the park's care tasks.

During the hike to the Cinco Chorros waterfall you can see loicas, foxes, cachirlas, jotes, chingolos, gaucho white tail, Serrano basket, carpenters, blackberry eagle, pilgrim falcon. The flora consists of high-altitude grasslands on the plain and forests of tabaquillos, maitenes and molles in the raveb. It is an excursion of medium difficulty, just under two hours between round trips.
