Santiago del Estero may be reached from the South along National Routes 34 and 9, from Santa Fe and Córdoba, respectively. From the West, Catamarca and the Cuyo area, the city may be accessed along National Route 64.
From Chaco, National Route 89 may be used, whereas from Tucumán, the city is reached along National Route 9.
