Mar de las Pampas' Restaurants

Besides being a privileged paradise because of the tranquility of its dunes the sea and the forest, Mar de las Pampas offers an exclusive gastronomic option, where service and taste for natural elements please the visitors.

Here we present interesting and various gourmet offers which, when combined with good service, make every visitor's stay in Mar de las Pampas go beyond just beholding the natural landscape.

Amorinda

Its owners, Anna and Antonio Pitella, are waiting for you to taste the best Calabrian pasta.

Under the slogan “tutto fatto come a casa”, homemade pasta and sauces are kneaded and cooked by the Pitellas, who blend the delicious smell of forest herbs and the hand-crafting of their dishes.

At the restaurant, the name Amorinda has been chosen in honor of Anna's mother, from whom she inherited her pleasure of cooking and the helpful spirit necessary to perform the culinary art for others.

We recommend the Calabrian lasagna and the spinach and ham capeletti, which, along with the exquisite homebaked bread, give a distinctive touch to the tasty sauce with rolled stuffed meat that accompanies the dishes.

If you have some time to spare, do not miss listening to Anna's songs and the family anecdotes which made Anna and Antonio make up their minds and spend their days at the seaside, very near the sea.

Cabaña Huinca

Liliana and Osvaldo Muñoz open the doors of their shop to offer a complete menu ranging from snacks to sophisticated dishes with everything that homemade food guarantees.

A cozy restaurant, simply but emotionally decorated, plus a wonderful sight of the wild forest of Mar de las Pampas, give a special flavor to the food.

Cabaña Huinca offers the opportunity to taste the true hand-crafted beer, elaborated by its owners, and also to learn production secrets.

We strongly recommend the exquisite shrimps hot cake as main course, with asparagus on the side. Eat it piping hot.

Time for dessert deserves a whole chapter. Even if temptation is present on every line of the menu, let your palate be conquered by the taste of the brownie with ice-cream and syruped strawberries: sweet satisfaction guaranteed.

Casa del Sol

This place is to be chosen by those who are in search for the illusion of a renovated exclusivity.

Such a cozy, as well as intimate, environment makes the visitors' stay take longer than usual. Good music, dim lights and Verónica's creations, the young chef at Casa del Sol, provide a brave touch to the elaboration of her most coveted dishes.

The truth is that this place, in keeping with what surrounds it, guarantees an impeccable environment, offering the yearned quietness at the meal time.

As main course, we recommend the pork chops flambéed with ron and with grilled baby sweet potatos, onions and very red peppers on the side, which provide a lively and seductive decoration.

Viejos Tiempos

Pioneers in Mar de las Pampas, as far as gastronomy is concerned, the people from Viejos Tiempos open their doors with a thorough gastronomic offer.

Apart from the legendary Tea House, very well-known by visitors, they complete their offer with delicious and spicy Mexican dishes.

When you enter this place, you get the feeling of being somewhere in Europe, such as France or Italy. That is because the ornamented decoration seems to carry the visitor to the times of Luis XIV.

We recommend the delicious molten cheese with sausage, after a very good taco pastor, served with onions, parsley and fried beans. Lastly, a typical enchilada with beans, fresh lettuce, tomato sauce and cream -very aphrodisiac.

Some other day, you can come by and taste the irish cake, with apple purée, tart, cream and cinnamon which, accompanied by a delicious cup of tea, guarantees a distinguished afternoon snack.

Colina Blanca

The entrance to Colina Blanca is majestic. Its architecture, spectacular. Orange, white and black mingle perfectly with new style furniture that gives immediate evidence of a modern spot with a well-defined style that creates the atmosphere of a spa, of feeling cared for.

Listening to Nora Urdinola, its chef, talk about dishes and recipes is just like being in front of an open book that has gone a long way in the road of gastronomy and who, from Colina Blanca, is willing to explain each customer not only what they are eating but why they are doing so and the benefits of this choice: a real goddess from all points of view.

And the plates match the place in perfect harmony both with the ornamentation and with the spirit of the resort Apart-Spa-Resto. The idea is that the guests go back to their homes feeling totally renovated in body, mind and spirit. Strolls, customized gym classes, jacuzzi, sauna, Turk bath, Scottish shower and swimming pool are some of the daily activities.

Maybe that is the reason why the food is subject to the treatment undergone by each of the visitors and helps them comply efficiently with the fitness, beauty or health program they have chosen for their stay.
Fruit, yogurt, natural juice, cold meat, toast and jams welcome the specialty of the house for breakfast: tangerine pudding, a real sample of the magic of this place.

For lunch, just like for dinner, the house recommends a salmon mousse with dark or pink caviar with refreshing green vegetables, a paté of fine herbs with cherry and caramel gherkins or else glazed ham with chucrut. All dishes are really spectacular with the right portions, which be accompanied with mineral water or fine wine.
Desserts are a delicacy. Pears in mint with chocolate or whipped cream, apples in Burgundy or the famous and popular but delicious rice pudding with a small portion of fine berry compote.
Colina Blanca is in tune with what it shows. A site where food is part of a perfect whole and where customers know perfectly well that they will always find what they are searching for.

Soleado de Noche

Eating by the sea, in the moonlight or under the stars, with candles and torches that lighten the beach is a pleasure that visitors of Mar de las Pampas should not miss.

Soleado de Noche is the restaurant located at the Soleado resort: the only beach resort in Mar de las Pampas, which receives the attention of tourists daily. When the sun sets, the site begins to change to such an extent that it becomes unrecognizable. The noises, colors and tastes of the day become silence, while pastels and ochres contribute with the right warmth to have dinner next to the unmistakable noise of the sea and its waves, and the sound of guitars always present.

Hugo Gervacio is in charge of opening the door every evening and inviting visitors to sit at one of the beautiful tables with excellent sight distributed all through the venue.

From the very beginning, the menu catches everyone’s attention with its excellent design and forecasts luxurious contents. Various sensations may be tasted in the dishes that show the pass through the forest into the dunes and the beholding of the dark and silent sea. Maybe that is the reason why, in addition to the Patagonian cuisine, the wise influence of the Mediterranean cuisine is neatly observed.

The idea is that the dishes should be original and this makes us come face to face with a real restaurant where signature cuisine and particular tastes are the protagonists.

Soleado de Noche becomes an incredible place with unique dishes and a team of waiters in charge of proving that, even if there is a full moon or thousands of stars, in this area of Mar de las Pampas, the sun also rises at night.
