The southernmost area of the Province of Tierra del Fuego is the best known among tourists from all over the world. It is immersed in Magellanic forests and its climate is cold and humid, even in the summertime.

If we speak about the City of Ushuaia, the last settlement in southern Argentina, the distances that separate it from its main sites is never too long. Its incredible relation with the Beagle Channel and the encounter of the Atlantic and the Pacific represent an imposing sight. Likewise, lakes and valleys give life to the surroundings in spite of the inhospitable weather conditions.

Located at the foot of Mount Olivia, Ushuaia is a natural viewpoint onto a vast sea surface where activities such as sailing, SCUBA diving and wildlife mapping, including bird-watching and sea species like sea lions and penguins are enjoyed. Last but not least, the sea provides delicious fish, crustaceans and seafood: the stars of local cuisine. The port of Ushuaia usually welcomes cruises. Some of them, the ones known as "expeditions", generally organize landings on the area through the use of zodiac boats that contribute adventure to the outing.

Other tours include Lakes Fagnano, Escondido or Roca and there is the possibility to practice winter sports on Mount Castor and Valle de Tierra Mayor, where cross-country ski is available. At the most distant point in the country, everything lies nearby, so close that visitors should not miss any of the local attractions.
