MapParapente Salta is an adventure tourism company specializing in tandem paragliding flights in the city of Salta, authorized by the Salta Tourism Secretariat. It operates every day of the year and caters to first-time visitors to the province as well as experienced outdoor travelers looking for an aerial perspective of Salta's landscapes.
Flights are conducted by Horacio Héctor Mazzei, a certified tandem instructor pilot holding license No. 917 issued by the Argentine Free Flight Federation (FAVL), with a flying career dating back to 2007 and over twelve years of experience carrying out baptism flights. No prior experience is required: before takeoff, passengers receive full safety instructions to ensure a smooth and secure flight. Flight duration is approximately 10 to 20 minutes, depending on weather conditions.
Parapente Salta offers two available launch sites:
• Cerro Elefante, in San Lorenzo, 12 km from the capital, reached via a roughly one-hour trekking approach. The full activity at this location takes between 2 and 3 hours and departs in the morning.
• Cerro Ala Delta, just 4 km from downtown Salta, with vehicle access directly to the launch point. Departures are coordinated based on weather conditions and availability.
For each location, the team provides a meeting point from which passengers are transported to the launch site. Regarding clothing, sports shoeshiking boots, long pantsleggings, a warm layer, and a windbreakerjacket are recommended. Flip-flops, sandals, and open-toed footwear are not permitted.
Bookings are confirmed with a deposit via bank transfer. In the event of cancellation due to bad weather, passengers may reschedulerequest a refund of their deposit. Requirements to participate are good general health and a body weight not exceeding 115 kg.
