The story of Vieja Posada is closely linked to the town’s history: it was originally an educational establishment and later became a gathering place for local weavers and artisans known as “La Tejeduría.” Casa Lávaque, on the other hand, was once the residence of Pedro Lávaque, a Syrian-Lebanese immigrant and visionary who brought the first electric generator to the Calchaquí Valley.

The restoration project began in 2005 with the aim of preserving the spirit and identity of these historic buildings while transforming them into a space that harmoniously blends history, art, and contemporary design. The result is a warm, peaceful environment that invites relaxation and reflects the fusion of native, colonial, and modern styles.
