The walk to the Cascada de los Duendes begins about 100 meters from the ranger station, where a wooden arch marks the start of the trail. From there, it is necessary to walk approximately 2 km along a vehicular road that borders the lake until reaching the ranger station. The area has frequent traffic, so it is important to walk with caution.
By car
From downtown, take either Av. BustilloAv. de los Pioneros to kilometer 8.600 and turn toward Villa Los Coihues. After crossing the entrance bridge to the neighborhood, turn left and follow the lakeside road for 300 meters until reaching the ranger station, where the trail begins. Parking is available, but it is recommended not to leave valuables inside the vehicle.

When to visit
The walk to the Cascada de los Duendes can be enjoyed year-round, though it is especially pleasant from spring to autumn. Depending on each group’s pace, the complete visit may take between 30 minutes and 1 hour and a half, plus an additional hour if arriving by public transportation.
