Challhuaquen Lodge is a lodge-style accommodation situated on the banks of the Futaleufú River, in the valley of Trevelin, Chubut Province, just a short distance from Los Alerces National Park. The property combines a privileged riverside setting with facilities geared toward fly fishing, offering all-inclusive packages tailored to each group of guests.

The name Challhuaquen comes from the Mapuche language and means "place of fishing," a name that accurately captures the spirit of the lodge. Built as a natural vantage point overlooking the Futaleufú River and surrounded by native forests and the Andean mountain ranges, the lodge features 6 unique and spacious suites, each with its own style and views of the river and Los Alerces National Park.

Available accommodation units are:

• Double suites with views of the Futaleufú River and Los Alerces National Park, equipped with twin beds, a full bathroom with hairdryer, radiator heating, and amenities.

Lodge services include a restaurant featuring Patagonian and international cuisine led by a specialized chef, a private wine cellar with a curated ion of Argentine wines, and an open bar available outside meal hours. Challhuaquen Lodge also offers a living area with a wood-burning fireplace, a fly-tying room, a lookout and reading room, a Fly Casting school, and a mountain spa oriented toward the Futaleufú River, equipped with a dry sauna, jacuzzi, Scottish shower, and massage room. Parking and breakfast are included in the base rate.

The lodge's main focus is fly fishing on the Futaleufú River, widely regarded as one of the finest fishing spots in Patagonia. All-inclusive packages cover both accommodation and the services of professional fishing guides, with the option to practice different techniques—dry fly, dry-per, streamers, and nymphs—on rivers, spring creeks, lakes, and lagoons throughout the area. Guests who do not fish can take part in a range of alternative activities, including visits to Los Alerces National Park, excursions to Nant y Fall Waterfalls, boat trips with views of Torrecillas Glacier, nautical safaris along the Futaleufú River, horseback riding, rafting, trekking, mountain biking, and a ride on the famous Patagonian narrow-gauge train La Trochita.

Challhuaquen Lodge is located near Trevelin, a town in northwestern Argentine Patagonia known for its Welsh heritage and its natural surroundings in the Andean foothills, close to Esquel and the entrance to Los Alerces National Park.
