Camping Los Maitenes is a camping accommodation near Esquel focused on nature tourism, located within the Los Alerces National Park, just a short distance from the park headquarters and with direct access to the shores of Lake Futalaufquen. The property covers 10 hectares and offers equipped camping sites, 125 fire pits, 12 domes for up to four guests, a restaurant, grocery store, beach bar and services designed for an outdoor stay surrounded by the landscapes of Patagonia. It is approximately 45 minutes from Esquel and 36 minutes from Trevelin, with fully paved vehicle access.
Camping Los Maitenes is the first organized campground when entering Los Alerces National Park through the central entrance. Its location provides direct access to a wide beach on the shores of Lake Futalaufquen, surrounded by native vegetation, including the maitén tree. The beach extends for approximately 400 meters and provides a suitable setting for relaxing, enjoying outdoor activities and taking in the mountain scenery.
Accommodation options include:
• 12 domes for up to four guests, spacious and equipped with mattresses, bed linen, lighting, electrical outlets, a table and chairs.
• 125 fire pits distributed across spacious camping plots, each equipped with a table, grill, electricity and its own electrical outlet.
The campground has its own grocery store where guests can purchase products and supplies during their stay. It also features a spacious restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, as well as pool and table tennis facilities for relaxing after outdoor activities.
Available services include bicycle rental and a sales point for booking the boat excursion to the Millennial Alerzal, one of the highlights for exploring the landscapes and ancient forests of Los Alerces National Park. Fishing permits can also be obtained at the administration office for visitors interested in fishing in the area.
Its location on the shores of Lake Futalaufquen is one of the main attractions of this accommodation. The lake covers approximately 4,460 hectares and has an average depth of 150 meters. Guests can reach the lakeshore directly from the campground, while lifeguard stations operate during the high season. The surrounding environment also provides opportunities to observe Patagonian flora and wildlife throughout the year.

Hermoso predio con mucho espacio, salida a pie al Lago Futalaufquen, muy tranquilo y limpio. Proveduría super completa con todo lo necesario si te olvidas algo. Tortas fritas todas las mañanas calentitas. Administrador y almacenero muy atentos y amenos. El Camping está muy cerca de senderos y atractivos turísticos hermosos. Baños limpios y espaciosos. 100% recomiendo.

Hermos camping para disfrutar del verano en el Parque Nacional Los Alerces, los lugares para acampar son muy verdes y lindos, con luz, mesas y fogones. También hay domos para los que buscan mayor comodidad. Los baños siempre limpios y con agua calentita.Tiene una proveeduría con todo lo necesario y a excelente precio. El personal es muy atento y se encargan de que se respete el horario de silencio así que las noches son tranquilas y se descansa muy bien.El acceso a la playa es muy lindo y lleno de árboles, tiene servicio de guardavidas todo enero y febrero para disfrutar del lago Futalaufquen con seguridad.No se sorprendan si al abrir la carpa se encuentran con algunas bandurrias, chimangos, golondrinas y/o liebres, están acostumbrados a compartir el espacio.Estamos muy agradecidos con todo el personal del camping por ser súper amables y hacer se nuestra estadía una excelente experiencia.

Hermoso camping! Muy limpio y conservado, todo verde, y cada paecela tiene parrilla, luz, toma corriente y mesa con bancos. Lo mas lindo es es que tiene salida a la playa del lago! Muy recomendable, volveria a ir sin duda
