Cabañas Alechen is a cabin accommodation located in the Villa Parque los Glaciares neighborhood, in the highest part of El Calafate, in the Santa Cruz province of Argentine Patagonia. The property features two 47-square-meter wooden cabins built in the traditional Patagonian style, with two floors, large windows, an outdoor deck, and direct views of Lago Argentino, Cerro Calafate, and the Andes mountain range. These cabins in El Calafate are personally managed by their owners, Alejandro and Eduardo, and are ideal for travelers seeking privacy, peace, and an authentic connection with the Patagonian natural environment.


Each cabin is spread over two levels. On the ground floor, guests will find a living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a half bath, a full bathroom, and a resting area with a single bed. On the upper floor, the main sleeping area features a double bed and an additional section with another single bed. The sleeping areas are open-plan, without enclosed bedrooms, giving the cabin a spacious and integrated feel. Handcrafted furniture and warm décor reinforce the property's identity and its connection to regional architecture.

Available unit types:
• Two-story double cabin (47 m²) accommodating up to 34 guests, with a double bed, a full-size bed, and a single bed arranged in open sections.


Among the services included in the stay, the handcrafted regional breakfast stands out, served directly in the cabin at whatever time the guest prefers. Breakfast includes homemade bread, pastries, regional jams, butter, fresh cheese, juice, coffee, tea, and milk. Throughout the entire stay, guests also have complimentary access to coffee, tea, and mate in the cabin.


A stay at Cabañas Alechen also includes private on-site parking, daily housekeeping until 1:00 PM, complimentary Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels, a laptop-sized safe, a flat-screen TV with DirecTV, an electric coffee maker, electric kettle, electric stove and oven, toaster, microwave, and amenities. Packed lunches for excursions are available at an additional cost, and a flexible luggage storage service is provided for guests arriving before check-in (2:00 PM)departing after check-out (10:00 AM).


The location of these cabins in El Calafate blends the calm of a residential hillside neighborhood with easy access to the town center, just 15 minutes on foot. From there, guests can easily plan excursions to the Perito Moreno Glacier, Los Glaciares National Park, Lago Roca,Cerro Cristal. Pets (dogs only) are welcome with prior authorization.
