Cabañas Sol del Aconcagua is an accommodation complex in Uspallata, in the province of Mendoza, situated at 1,900 metres above sea level in the heart of the Andes mountain range. The property combines rustic cabins and rooms with private bathrooms, catering to couples and family groups looking to rest surrounded by mountain nature. The complex is located close to National Route 7, approximately 100 km from the city of Mendoza and 80 km from the border crossing with Chile.

The accommodation types available at Sol del Aconcagua are:
• Rustic cabins (six units), each with a private barbecue grill and covered private parking
• Private rooms with en-suite bathroom, private parking and breakfast included

The complex offers a range of services to suit different needs. The restaurant operates in two shifts: morning from 8:30 to 13:00 and afternoon/evening from 17:00 to 23:00, serving breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea. Bar service and snacks can also be requested in the roomcabin with prior booking. The swimming pool (1.30 m deep) is available during summer, with sun loungers and small tables poolside.

Included services are Wi-Fi, free use of mountain bikes, board games, a reading area with books and magazines, a children's play area, a central fire pit with capacity for 20 people and a shop selling local products such as handicrafts and Mendoza wines. Housekeeping for cabins and rooms is included every three days. Laundry, transfers to and from the city of Mendoza and the airport, currency exchange and a baby cot are also available at an additional cost and subject to prior availability.

In terms of safety, all units are equipped with carbon monoxide and smoke detectors, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers and safety signage. The entrance road to the property is fully lit.

Uspallata offers a wide range of outdoor activities throughout the year. In winter, the ski slopes at Penitentes and Los Puquios are just a few kilometres from the complex. In summer, the area is ideal for rafting on the Mendoza River, trekking, horse riding, rock climbing, abseiling, mountain biking and bungee jumping in the Andean landscape. The property works alongside a recreational activities company that organises excursions with pick-up directly from the complex.

Uspallata can also be reached via Provincial Route 52, which winds through the famous hairpin bends of Villavicencio, the Paramillos landscape and points of interest such as El Balcón, the historic old mines and Darwin's fossil forest.
