Located in the heart of the humid pampas, only 120 km from the city of Buenos Aires, Estancia El Ombú de Areco is a jewel of Argentine rural tourism. This historic estancia, whose main house dates back to 1880, is located in San Antonio de Areco and has belonged to the Boelcke family since 1934. Since 1993, it has opened its doors to national and international tourism, offering the possibility of living an authentic Argentine countryside experience, either for a dayfor a longer stay.

The main house of the estancia has been carefully preserved and refurbished to provide a first class hotel service. The 11 rooms available combine the charm of period furniture with modern comforts: private bathroom, television, air conditioning, heating and excellent natural lighting. In addition, there are double, triple, quadruple and connecting rooms, making the place an ideal option for couples and large families. Pets are also accepted and cribs are available at no additional cost, subject to availability.

The environment of the estancia is simply enchanting. With more than 300 hectares dedicated to livestock and agriculture, visitors can tour landscapes where more than 350 head of Aberdeen Angus cattle and 70 horses graze. Depending on the season, soybean, corn, wheat, oatspastures can be observed. The proposal includes activities for all tastes: from horseback riding, sulky rides and walks, to bird watching, games, swimming pools, and music and folkloric dance shows. There are also equestrian demonstrations, such as Indian dressagetroop driving, which allow a unique approach to gaucho traditions.

The full board service is another of the great attractions of the place. It offers a continental breakfast, a traditional lunch with empanadas, asado criollo, dessert and coffee (drinks included), an afternoon snack with mate, teacoffee and sweets, and a dinner with a starter, main course and dessert. There are also options for vegetarians, vegans and people with dietary restrictions, as long as they are informed in advance.

For those who are looking for a getaway without accommodation, the country day option is perfect. El Ombú de Areco offers a full day of contact with nature, rural customs and typical gastronomy, ideal for relaxing, celebrating a birthdaysharing a different outing with friendsfamily.
