Rafting experiences with Comarka Rafting take place on the Corcovado River, with a meeting point at Camping Sol y Luna, located at the entrance of Corcovado, about 90 km south of Esquel and 65 km from Trevelin. At the base, participants receive full equipment — wetsuit, jacket, helmet, life jacket, and paddle — along with an introductory briefing on equipment use. A short transfer follows to the starting point, where a technical and safety briefing is provided before entering the river.
The classic rafting route covers approximately 13 kilometers and lasts between one and a half and two hours on the water. It begins with calm waters, ideal for practicing paddling techniques and getting familiar with the raft, while enjoying views of native forest and local birdlife. As the river approaches the Andean foothills, Class II and III rapids appear, alternating with calm sections, waterfalls, rocky walls, and open riverbanks, creating a balanced experience between active paddling and scenic observation.
Key activities include the Corcovado River Classic Rafting, Corcovado River to the Border Rafting, and the Arrayanes Express Kayak experience. All options are of moderate difficulty, do not require previous experience, and are suitable for participants aged 5 to 70. Each raft accommodates up to eight passengers and is led by professional guides, including a rafting guide and a safety kayaker.
The activity ends at Puente Quilodrán, where transportation awaits to provide a refreshment before returning to the base. The best time to enjoy rafting in this area of Chubut is from November to March. Access from Esquel is by road, either by private vehicle, bus services,through local travel agencies, making this adventure an excellent addition to a stay in the Chubut Andes region.
