Rafting
El rafting es un deporte de equipo, donde todos los tripulantes de la balsa reman y orientan su peso de manera coordinada para recorrer los rápidos de los ríos y mantenerse a flote.
El número estándar de personas que sube a una barca es de seis a ocho tripulantes según su tamaño.
El guía, que debe conocer al detalle cada parte del río, es quien dirige los movimientos de la embarcación.
A los que se inician en el rafting, les recomendamos que se ubiquen en el centro del gomón, donde hay menos movimiento. Los que ya tienen alguna experiencia y prefieren remar pueden ir en la parte delantera, mientras que los más experimentados por lo general van atrás.
En el rafting el grado de dificultad se lo clasifica según los ríos, que varían de 1 a 6 grados, siendo 1 el más fácil y el 6 sólo para expertos, ya que son absolutamente peligrosos y se encuentran en el límite de los criterios de navegabilidad.
Las empresas que brindan esta clase de excursiones otorgan a cada pasajero de todos los accesorios para disfrutar al máximo de la aventura. Remos, casco, chaleco salvavidas, chaqueta seca e incluso traje húmedo de neoprene que aísla del frío, forman parte del kit.
Para poder realizar rafting con tranquilidad lo fundamental e imprescindible es que todos los tripulantes de la balsa sepan nadar.
