Entre las actividades aéreas que se destacan dentro del turismo de aventura están la práctica de parapente, de aladelta y los vuelos en planeadores.
Estos deportes o pasatiempos tienen como finalidad hacer realidad esa especie de sueño ancestral de volar.
El parapente y el aladelta se practica al despegar de una montaña, aprovechando las corrientes de viento que suben por sus laderas para planear y ascender, logrando vuelos de larga duración.
Para el aterrizaje se requiere de un espacio relativamente pequeño, gracias a la baja o mediana velocidad de estos vuelos.
Para realizar un paseo en planeador por lo general se debe ir hacia un Aeroclub y contratar los servicios de algún operador turístico que brinde esta clase de excursiones. Es importante prestar mucha atención a lo que indican los guías de cada actividad y de ese modo obtener diversión asegurada.
