Misiones reddish land is alive - with a forest vegetation and an endless number of streams and rivers, having subtropical climate, without dry seasons and abundant rains which feed the rivers that are born inside the Province. These end up in Iguazú , Paraná and Uruguay Rivers. They flow along undulating land, overcoming rapids, falls and cascades and giving life to a wide range of fauna and flora. |

In an area of 30,000 km², you will be able to visit 100 falls. Oberá City is a good starting point to start the safari. Located almost in the midst of Misiones, along National Route Nº 14, 97 kilometers away from Posadas Capital City.
A city where more than 30 different religions get together. Immigrants from different places in the world chose this region to settle down. They reached very rich cultural mixtures out of their habits. Every year, in September, the Immigrant National Festival takes place in which each community shows what is most representative regarding customs - music, dances, customs and gastronomy.

In the surroundings, you can go on short tours to visit new places or swim in the falls of the area. Further ahead , you will be able to visit the rivers that surround the town to the East and West of the Province- Uruguay and Paraná River.
Among the hundreds of fallsin the region, the most outstanding are:
Berrondo Fall
It is located to the South of Oberá, 9 kilometers away from the city along Nº 103 Route. There are two sections- an upper and a lower section. The last one is under the fall, surrounded by natural vegetation and a wild environment.
In the upper section, man's hand influenced greatly the area - pine trees, palm trees, medlars and chinaberries make up the woods. There are good facilities to relax and practise different sports. There is a camping site with swimming pool, grills, "quincho" and tables.
You can get to the fall, through a track, along which there are many view points and terraces before getting to the waterfall being 15 meters high.

Krysiuk Fall
It is located 14 kilometers away from Oberá, to the South, going along Nº 14 National Route. It belongs to Toro Stream, flowing into Once Vueltas River and then joining to Uruguay River.
There are 5 falls making up the same big fall which turn into a pool being 3 meters deep.
The surface of the area is made up of basaltic reddish rocks and in an eroded way with successive holes.
In the upper bed, you will notice rock formations on the banks which are 2.50 meters high. These natural formations were used to build on them 3 bridges that cross the river.
The area is very well kept and there is a site with grills, benches and tables.
You can also visit a natural pool where you can enjoy a plunge.

Paca Fall
You will get to it going along Nº 5 Provincial Route to Panambí after riding 17 kilometers. The fall is tributary of Tomás guido stream and flows into Uruguay River.
The river is very narrow having clear waters. Deep down, if you are lucky, you will be able to see some small fish.
The environment , in the upper part, is quite modified by man as well as the area surrounding the fall.
A quite steep and muddy path will take you to the Valley. here, there are samples of very big trees . Graduas, pindus,horse whippers, fig trees, incense, laurel, anyico, drumstick trees, lianas, surinam cherry, chinaberry, acacias and nettles are some of the species you will find.

Dos Hermanos ( two brothers) Fall and Tobogán ( slide) Fall
It is located to the North of Oberá along Nº 5 Provincial Route. The road is gravelled near General Alvear. Both falls belong to Soberbio River which flows into Paraná River.
Dos Hermanos Fall is 4 meters high. The Northern part has only one fall and the rest is made up of 7 more grades.
The surroundings are full of light due to the luxurious vegetation. Quite big trees and a thick wood make up the landscape. As you go by, you will observe samples of graduas, acacias, giant nettles, laurels, bumelia trees and cactus. In the upper area, before getting to the fall, you will pass by tobacco , mate herb , elliotis pine plantations as well as grazing land with bovine cattle.
This stream goes down until it gets to Tobogán Fall - 11 meters tall , falling without interruption and without grades. There is a paved path linking both falls to make it easier for you to visit and enjoy them both. A footbridge with handrails will take you to a vantage point to appreciate closer the waterfall. Then, going along some stairs, you will get to a natural pool.
The natural environment is a bit more open and, thus, more luminous. There is a circular natural pool at the bottom of the valley.

Encantado ( enchanted) Fall
It is located to the North of Oberá along Nº 14 National Route and 8 kilometers away from Aristóbulo del Valle. It is 58 meters high and belongs to Cañapirú Stream ( meaning Slim Woman in guaraní ). It is surrounded by a virgin forest being unique because it is illuminated at night. This fact turns it into one of the most attractive touristic places in the area.
A camping site, beach, restaurant and guided paths where birdwatching is possible as well as the observation of butterflies and different species of trees signaled with their names make the area an important one because of the facilities provided.
Every year, Salto Encantado Festival takes place. It has been proffessed as Site of Interest for Misiones Province. Artistic and Cultural activities belonging to different communities get together to show and interchange customs.
