Oberá is a city situated in the mid-south of , on the road of the Central Mountains of the province 97 km away from Posadas airport.

In order to get to this place, one can choose Nº 12 , 14 National Routes or Nº 103 and 105 Provincial routes which are asphalted and in due conditions. A few kilometers away, the city links to the Republic of Brazil through fluvial ports that allow the crossing of vehicles and people through Uruguay River.

Well known as "Capital del Monte" (The Capital of the Mounts), Oberá has a subtropical climate with average annual temperatures of 20ºC, registering maximum Summer temperatures of 33ºC and minimum Winter temperatures of 10ºC.

Red land, woodland places, waterfalls, streams and resorts provide nice environments to rest, fish and go on bike, horse or four track rides.

Currently, visits to tea plantations, drying places and mate mills are in fashion. Among the most interesting places to visit one can find San Ignacio Ruins, the garden of the birds, the , Santa Rita Agro- Camping Site, The Reservation of the Chachí and among others, the Historical and the Natural Sciences Museums.

Surrounded by beauty, Oberá is a paradise where all the facilities provide the tourist with the chance of enjoying adventures in the vastness of nature.
