Sierra de la Ventana

ocated on the slopes of Sierra de la Ventana (the Window Mountain Range) which has a particular natural opening at the top of it, Sierra De la Ventana is
the central tourist city of the region. This beautiful tourist center has many country houses and modern chaléts in a landscape of hills and streams with thick vegetation.

It has temperate dry climate with a blue diaphanous sky. The temperature is nice in Summer while in Winter there are some snow storms that provide the region with a particular view.
Sierra de la Ventana is immersed in an orographic system called "de la Ventania", located in the southwest of the Province of Buenos Aires making up the main mountain range in the area and one of the most attractive in the country and providing an ideal environment to practice mountain activities.
An easy way to get to the region is by plane arriving at Bahía Blanca City and taking a bus, train or van to reach the final destination.

In Sierra de la Ventana, you can enjoy activities in contact with nature: climbing hills, hiking, mountain biking or horse riding. Fans of sport fishing can spend an attractive day at the Sauce Grande Stream or in its tributaries where they may also swim and refresh themselves in the clear waters.

The most interesting excursions include visits to Ernesto Torquinst Provincial Park or to the Hueco de la Ventana (Window Hole) passing by waterfalls, cave paintings and enjoying beautiful views. Other chosen excursions are the visits to Cerro de la Cruz (The Hill of the Cross), Cerro Tres Picos (Three Peaked Hill), La Fuente del Bautismo (The Fountain of the Baptism), Paso de las Piedras Dam or Saldungaray Town.
