Queens Carrousel
The Carousel is one of the essential elements in the Grape Harvest celebrations. The people of Mendoza, as well as the tourists that come along from all over the world, may enjoy the queens parade in the streets in the daylight or, just like they refer to it, "without make-up".
The various floats represent every district, with their queens and princesses parading down the main streets in town and waving with gratitude to the audience as they applaud and celebrate their passage.
The official box, where the provincial and national authorities sit, is one of the main spots in the Carousel. It is in front of it that the queens wave and hand out gifts which include grapes, grapefruit, pears, wine and other products from mother nature and conceived by the effort of man every year.
That is what the Grape Harvest is about.

The Fox and the Grapes
Winery legends assert that a group of foxes would approach the vine before each harvest and have a matchless feast, thus approving the quality of the upcoming harvest. For many, they are the first to taste the properties of the future wine. Whether this is true or not, several artists have portrayed this particular legend.
