Archeological Córdoba
Elena LapuenteMarcelo SolaA virtual visit to the Cordoba Antropology Museum brings us near the stories and special features of the legendary peoples that dwelled the country.
The Antropology Museum is located in the heart of the Nueva Córdoba neighborhood, in a large house from the early XX century, whose architecture reveals the customs of the society of those days.
The museum rooms contain archeological and etnographic collections from all round the country, through which the stories and special features of the legendary peoples that used to dwell the present Argentinian teriritory and still dwell it at present may be discovered.
At present, the museum presents the following rooms: Cultural heritage, Andean archeology, Mountain Range archeology, The excavation, Indian Patagonia and Andean textile Art. Inside these theme rooms, there is the reproduction of a cave and a real-size house-well. There is also an archeological excavation and a room for children, specially designed with didactical elements. Likewise, there is a special area for temporary exhibitions, which are renewed monthly.
The museum also has a library open to the public, with volumes dedicated to antropology, archeology, history and other social sciences.
