TANGO DANCE WORLD CUP 2011

From August 16 thru 30, 2011, the City will deck out with tango for the Buenos Aires Tango Festival and Dance World Cup 2011, an Argentinian classic already. Tango was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO?s Intergovernmental Committee in December 2009.

Tango Buenos Aires invites the world to enjoy "The Dancing World Championship and Festival", one of the best known tango events worldwide, during which thousands of couples and audience members from all over the world reach the City of Buenos Aires to take part and experience this happening every year in August.

Following the line of the classic festival and inspired in the milongas porteñas, the "City's Dancing Championship" is also held every year around the various neighborhoods in the metropolis. A tango city par excellence, Buenos Aires looks forward to the music.
