Located between the Sierras Grandes and the Sierras Chicas, Santa Rosa de Calamuchita is on the banks of Santa Rosa River and in the very heart of Calamuchita Valley. This touristic center is 96 km away from Cordoba City and is the best choice to relax in any Season. It attracts a great amount of visitors to know the beaches and rivers with clear water and mountaineous relief.

The climate of this region is mediterranean and Calamuchita city center is at 615 meters above sea level having almost no wind and registering ideal temperatures to enjoy life in the outdoors. Santa Rosa de Calamuchita is doubtlessly a place with history, and a faithful reflection of that is the architecture that goes back to 1575 with the arrival of the Spanish Jesuits.

Being near Champaquí mountain range (2884 meters high), one can practise activities such as hicking or mountain bike rides and the excursions invite one to go on photo safaries or enjoy nature. The source of Santa Rosa River is an ideal place for the practise of sport fishing or to discover pools of still water with white sand beaches along them that invite one to enjoy unique moments.

At night, Calamuchita invites young people, grown ups and kids to go to discos, bowling and electronic games arcades on the main street. A few kilometers away, places like Villa General Belgrano, La Cumbrecita or Villa Alpina wait in the clearings of the woods of conifers for the tourist to visit them.
