From Buenos Aires along National Routes 5, 35, 153, 143, Provincial Route 20 (La Pampa), National Routes 151, 22, 237 and 234.
From Neuquén along National Routes 22, 237 and 234 you must drive 435 Km. passing by Villa El Chocón, Piedra del Aguila and Alicura or by National Route 22 from Neuquén to Zapala passing by Cutral Co and Plaza Huincul, where you must take National Route 40 to La Rinconada crossing the river Aluminé and taking National Route 234 to Junín and San Martín de los Andes.
From San Carlos de Bariloche, you have three options:
One is National Route 237 and 234, along 250 km. on a paved road.
The second is The Route of the 7 Lakes, passsing by all the lakes of the corridor and with part of the route under construction, being two thirds of the road already paved.
The third option is Paso del Córdoba, accessible along route 237 from Confluencia, then you must cross the bridge on the dam and take Provincial Route 63 up to the crossroad with Ruta 234 in Río Hermoso.

International Passes
Paso Hua Hum
At 673 metres above sea level, it joins the city of San Martín de los Andes (Argentina) and Valdivia (Chile).
It is a pebble road to the frontier, and once in Chile, it is necessary to take a raft over Lake Pirihueico, a beautiful two hour trip that takes you to Puerto Fuy, from where you continue along an unpaved road to Panguipulli.
The raft has several different frequencies depending on the season, for what you must find out before leaving San Martìn de los Andes to the crossing.
Paso Mamuil Malal or Tromen
From San Martin de los Andes passing by Junín de los Andes along Provincial Route 234, you must take the turning after crossing the Chimehuin river to go to Pucón and Villarrica (Chile) , on a 60 km pebble and dust road, where you will pass Gendarmeria and Customs in Argentina and Customs in Puesco, Chile .
The road is surrounded by araucaria forests and just in the limit you can make a stop in the big Christ between the two customs offices, an ideal place to have tea.
Remember that none of the two customs allows for the passing of fruit nor fresh food.
Paso Carirriñe
Along Provincial Route 234, up to the crossing with Provincial Route 62 where you must turn left and start the dust sector to the frontier after passing by lakes Curruhue Grande and Chico, Laguna Verde, Escorial and Toro.
Near the frontier you will find Lahuen-co hot springs and Liquiñe hot springs, both very interesting and healthy to visit.
