To start this excursion, you must go to the corner of Independence Street and San Jerónimo Street - next to the Cathedral - which is the departing point of the European Vehicle that will take you to the most important historical places in the metropoli.
This type of tour generally starts at 11.00 a.m and at 5.00 p.m. . However, we suggest that you ask for information at the Tourism and Information Office to check the timetable. This Office is located next to the City Hall. |

Once everything is ready, you will take a seat at the comfortable means of transport and start enjoying the speech of the specialized guide who will tell you about the architectural legacy from colonial times, modern buildings , parks and the important commercial activity as you ride around the city.
You will start at the Foundation Historical Center where " Don Jerónimo Luis de Cabrera", in 1573, decides to settle the first foundations of what is Córdoba City today.
You will see San Martín Square and around it the emblematic buildings that represented the Colonial Times Power such as the City Hall and the Cathedral. |

The guide will point out the different architectural styles of the Holy See- you will discover that the front belongs to the Italian Renaissance and Neoclassicism whereas the towers belong to the American Baroque style. You will learn that this combination of styles is due to the fact that each architect that worked in this construction left a personal touch in the Cathedral building.
To the right , you will see the City Hall where the Government, Legislation and even a jail had a hold . Currently, the building is a great Cultural Center where the coming out of books , musicals or conventions take place.

To the left of the Cathedral, you will observe the " Casa Rosa"( Pink House) of Tejeda family from the XVII Century which later was to become property of the Carmelite Order. Inside the building, there is a Museum of Religious Art - which is unique in the country -where valuable collections of Córdoba painters like Caraffa, Péres, Bonaverdi and Pont Verges are shown.
The double deck bus will depart again and you will ride along San Jerónimo Street , going by the back of the Cathedral where the small square with the Founder Monument is located.
You will cross the Pedestrian Street called Rivera Indarte and notice the intense commercial activity in the area.
The bus will go on slowly along the same Street and the guide will show you the most outstanding places.
You will be told that Córdoba City is located in the geographical center of the country. Its mediterranean situation has turned the city into a cross road to all the corners of the Republic of Argentina since it was part of what used to be called " Camino Real" ( Royal Road) linking the Virreinato del Río de la Plata with the Alto Perú. |

To the left, you will see the building from the beginning of the XX century of Córdoba Lottery and ahead of it Ángela Tower - with 30 floors - which is the tallest building in the city center since after its inauguration the City Hall issued a bylaw banning such tall buildings. |

Then, you will go by Italy Square where there are three fountains representing Córdoba Rivers. You will see an arcade in low relief with the figures of Romulo and Remo with the she-wolf that breast-feeded them.
This square was founded in 1980 as homage to the Italian Community and there is a Crafts Fair during the week.

You will cross La Cañada Stream which is one of Córdoba symbols because it divides the city in two parts. Before being channeled , this stream used to flood the whole metropoli. In old times, it used to be the natural border of the city. It was in the XVII century that " civilized people" dared to cross it and settle on the other side.

The bus will go on and you will come into a beautiful square known as "Paseo del Marqués de Sobremonte" which was built in the XVIII century during Sobremonte government. You will observe a rich vegetation, a central fountain and water games. |

Opposite the square, you will see The Palace of Justice of Neoclassic Style and the City Hall. The vehicle will turn and you will observe to your right the Intendance Square with a huge glass structure in the center where the traffic lights control is located. |
