From the very first day, Rafael knew cooking was his strong point. It was totally worth the effort for him to be at his own restaurant today. “Vitraux” is a beautiful large house from the XIXth century completely recycled in order to operate as a restaurant.

The main dish was made with pork, barbecue sauce and mashed sweet potatoes, whereas in the neighboring tables, some ravioli stuffed with fresh vegetables and tomato and basil sauce were the outstanding dishes. Despite being a simple kind of cuisine, it is still marvelous.
A wine cellar containing all the classics along with new labels of various varietals and flavors invites guests to enjoy a glass before they choose one of the exclusive tables in this coquettish restaurant. But the real stars of the evening are the dishes. Rafael recommended that we should start with some crostatas with mozzarella, tomato and basil, others with bacon and green onion and others with squid. |

Not only are desserts Rafael’s weaknesses but they are also the entire restaurant staff’s. Postre Vitraux is a cheese mousse with tomato marmalade and basil syrup. The 3 chocolate mousse is another highly praised delicacy and the Chocolate Volcano with Ice-cream is, after the Salto Grande Dam, the second wonder in the city.
Capable of combining dark and white chocolate and its hot variants with whipped cream ice-cream, this is an ideal dessert to dive into a world of unique sensations, while the ancient vitraux observe us from the very same place they have always occupied to see how the story continues. |
