This Interpretation Center introduces the visitor to the natural environment preserved, describes its ecological characteristics and most outstanding aspects in order to facilitate the visitor's understanding of the complex and delicate interrelations among the different wild life communities, geography and man as the agent capable of producing modifications.

The terrestrial fauna of Patagonia is composed by species like guanaco, ñandú, mara, armadillo, wild cat, red and grey fox, calandra lark, and other birds.
You will learn that sea animals are mainly concentrated in big colonies along the peninsula.
Inside the rooms there is information about elephant seals and fur seals.

In this area, there are intangible sectors, where any kind of touristic actions are forbidden, and areas of special use, where controlled access is facilitated to make contact and appreciate the protected ecosystem.

After you walk around the Museum, you may go up to the tower, from where you can watch through a telescope the coast of Golfo Nuevo on the right, and the coast of Golfo San José on the left, since the watchtower is on the narrowest part of Carlos Ameghino isthmus.
