Dr. Juan A. Olsacher Mineralogy Museum

Timetable: Monday to Friday from 8 to 15 and from 18 to 21 hs
Saturday and Sunday from 18 to 22 hs.
 
 
The Museum was inaugurated on May 24th 1969, being its first director Don José Ignacio Garate Zubillaga, who donated his collections to initiat the museum.
Later, on May 24th 1972 by decree 1188 it is given the name " Prof. Dr. Juan Augusto Olsacher".

Dr. Juan A. Olsacher Mineralogy Museum
It is dedicated exclusively to the biological sciences, with a predominance of mineralogy and paleontology of the province. It possesses very important collections of prototype pieces, for what it is considered a paleontological repository.
 
 
Among its most important collections you can observe: Systematic Mineralogy, with 2035 mineral species, precious and semi-precious stones, Petrology, Invertebrates Paleontology of the Holocen and Inferior Mesozoic, and Paleontology of Neuqueén´s watershed, Vertebrates Paleontology, Sea Reptiles and a collection of Paleobotanics.
