Its name is in tribute to one of the mentors of plastic arts in the district: Palmira Scrosoppi. The artist was born in the city of Buenos Aires, studied at the Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes and then settled down at Villa de Merlo, where, inspired by the landscapes of the area, captured her most important works in clay and canvas.
In the inside of the museum, you can appreciate paintings by Palmira, Viviana Palestini and Osvaldo Dubattí, and sculptures by Luis Perlotti –among others– accompanied by singular furniture dating from the late XIX century.
