With the aim of " proposing an intensification of the esthetic taste and spreading Fine Arts as a need of the spirit as well as preserving tradition", on 26th April, 1929 , The Historical Colonial Museum and Fine Arts Museum of Corrientes Province was inaugurated.

Located since then at 1044 9 de Julio Street, in a house considered Provincial Historical Monument, the Museum has a collection with different objects considered as an important patrimony of Historical value which are chronologically distributed in seven rooms.

Among the most outstanding objects, visitors can observe Jesuitic Tablets, polychrome carvings, sacred art, antique furniture, musical instruments, weapons, guns, colonial clothes, flags, photographs, pictures, grills, capitals and varied evidence of different periods.
