The craftsmen make constant creative proposals along the year in Chascomús.
Basically, the crafts offer at weekends and holidays is concentrated in two large fairs in the open air. The Feria de la Ribera has fix residence at the Parque del V Centenario, an invitation to relax in the middle of a forest of Australian pines and eucalyptus. Here, it is possible to find good works done with dry plants, cane, wood, iron fittings and recycled paper; and objects such as belts, candles, soap bars, vitreaux and pottery pieces done one by one, as serial production is not admitted. Regional items, such as liquors, mead, alfajores, chocolates and jams are also present in this fair. |

| On the other hand, the Centro de Artesanos de Chascomús, which goes all round the city with its mobile stands, offers various kinds of craftworks: knitted, crochet, plaster, ecological wicker, bijouterie, wood, textile, pottery, candles, soap and rustic recycled wood, among other disciplines. |

Lastly, another choice to buy handicrafts is El Turista, located within the old quarter, known among the locals as “lo de Fadyto”. Creations by various local crafstmen are exhibited in an ancient house with solid walls and wooden floors. The decoration of the shop, in the style of an old pulpería, invites visitors to enjoy local cheese, regional products and orginal souvenirs.
