Within this environment lake Belgrano, Burmeister, Escondido, Volcán, Nansen, Azara, Mogote, Península and the river and rapids of the river Lácteo imply a difference in the landscape for their constant humidity that enriches little forests and green lands inhabited by guanacos and American ostriches. |

To the south of the river Burmeister you can see some petrified trees of more than 10 m. height and in the north east of the park, over Sierras Coloradas, you can see the fossils of extinguished animals and petrified wood. |

On the shore of Lake Belgrano, which is surrounded by snow capped peaks in the shape of an amphitheatre, you can see the chain where Cerro San Lorenzo is, with its 3.706m. height, a mountain whose peak has been reached by mountaineers from different parts of the world. |

As a coronation to this experience you can see the magnificent flight of condors, and if you hapen to get to the summit, you can observe their nests.
