 Only 3 km. from Villa La Angostura you can practise rappel, tirolesa, climbing and amusing adventure tours in fourtrax when you visit La Piedra Recreation Center. To get there you must take Av. Arrayanes towards San Carlos de Bariloche, drive 3 km. and turn to the left, take route 66 to Cerro Bayo Ski Resort, and then drive 200 m. Sergio Broder, a tourist and mountain guide who owns the place, will explain the different options you have. |
 First you will ride a 90 cc. fourtrax through a coihue forest on the hillsides of Cerro Bayo where you will live an astonishing adventure. |
 The circuit presents different degrees of difficulty, but it is not necessary to have previous experience, since the guides in the center can teach you how to drive a fourtrax in only 5 minutes. |
 After an intense ride in a beautiful scenery, we can do rappel on the main wall of La Piedra. You will climb on natural walls in top-rop mode and be given security by an instructor who will fasten your ropes as you ascend. |
 Centro Recreativo La Piedra offers different climbing routes according to the climber´s experience: Piedritas Traviesas: 25 mts. aprox. Camino Sangriento: 25 mts. aprox. Piojito: 20 mts. aprox. Negativo: 35 mts. aprox. Escondida: 15 mts. aprox. |
 Once you reach the summit you will do rappel, a funny way of descending the wall and feel the vertigo of the mountain. As well as climbing, rappel presents different degrees of difficulty according to individual experience, from begginers to experts. You will be provided with all the necessary equipment: a harness, carabiners, ropes and stoppers to make this adventure safe. |
 To descend we must choose the route according to our experience among "Piojito" route, about 20 m. high and ideal for beginners; medium difficulty "Colatar" route, some 25 m. high; or difficult "Negative" route only apt for people wo do not suffer vertigo. The instructor will teach you the best way to descend either with small jumps or letting the rope slide through an automatic descender. |
 To end up at full emotion, you can descend in a cart in tirolesa through a steel wire for the final 50 meters. This tirolesa or cablecar is special for anyone who wishes to have fun no matter their age. |
 You can also jump on the elastic bed where you can really have fun at no risk whatsoever. In winter you can go on snow racket walks in the snowed forest around the village. |
