In the heart of the Hermoso Valley, between the cities of Cosquín and La Falda, an hour’s drive from the city of Córdoba, a cozy Florentine castle rises. This architectural jewel from the 1930’s has known how to combine the charm of classical elements and the seduction of modernity to offer its visitors moments of tranquility.
When going through its facilities, a kind of indescribable magic is perceived in the air from the very first time. Its four hectares of parks and gardens make its medieval structure stand out in the middle of the natural environment.
When we enter the castle, we quickly perceive fine decoration in each of its spaces. Each corner of the castle has an originality detail that causes astonishment in those who discover it. The wood, the stone and the wrought iron works, performed with the expertise typical of medieval times, are objects of patient restoration made by skilled craftsmen.

Years of History
It was conceived by don José Ferrarini, an Italian immigrant who kept the fascination of a castle in Florence in his memory. He trusted the task of projecting and directing the building works to architect Fernando Rosas.
El Castillo opened its doors as a hotel in 1939, but had to close them ten years later. It was closed during twenty-five years, during which silence and abandonment took hold of the scene. In 1974, it passed on to the hands of the Metallurgical Workers’ Union and, years later, it was acquired by its present owners.
The latter were in charge of restoring it, taking care of every detail, especially its furniture, recovering its history.
At present, it re-opens its doors as Hotel Resort & Spa, offering cordial services and a complete international menu at the restaurant facilities to those who wish to stay there.

In the kitchen, the intense and well-defined flavors of home-made food stand out. Its cellar treasures a complete selection of wines, delicately chosen to accompany the most elaborate dishes.
Once the visit is over, visitors only have to enjoy the banquet, which is served with all the protocol and splendor typical of kings.
Life in the Castle
