Even if the wind and the harshness of the sea are constant at these latitudes, the local estancias have a glow of their own. Both traditionalist and typical from all perspectives, they offer guests the chance to experience the routine of rural life. They just need to find the most appropriate venue and let themselves be carried away by pleasure.

Located in a privileged nook on the banks of the Chubut River, only 6km from Gaiman and 30 minutes by car from the City of Trelew, Posada Los Mimbres opens the doors of its picturesque farm for tourists from all round the world to visit these real Patagonian rural facilities.
Divided into the "new house" and the "old house", according to the needs and likes of its guests, it preserves the materials brought from the USA and England.
The “old house” has an important dining-room with a bonfire spot and a reading-room that enables visitors to become familiar with the Welsh past and customs. Furthermore, it has a remarkable set of furniture from the times of the colony.
The “new house", on the other hand, was specially built in order to take advantage of sunlight. It is sheltered from the Patagonian winds and it generates an environment teeming with tranquility.
Its restaurant offers traditional Patagonian dishes, handmade by the local cooks, who respect the recipes from yesteryear. They mingle the simplicity of local products and the delicious national and European art of cooking. The scenery merges into a space to enjoy Patagonia and all its magic.
All its constructions invite visitors to serenity, relax and the delight of music. A real reunion with the cozyness and the possibility of a nice rest.

A bombilla is generally a metal or cane straw used to drink the beverage called mate. Inherited from colonial times, the bombilla usually has an artistic decoration and serves as one of the most important elements in the mate ritual, as it carries the infusion from the mate cup to our mouth.
