Most estancias located at the southern end of Argentina show visitors the different aspects of their daily routines, in which bucolic activities are harmonically combined with rural tourism, an activity that has recently gained its own followers.

El Viejo Tambo is a rural venue, product of the shared illusion of turning the Patagonian countryside into a better place to live. It is aimed at recovering all its production potential with a vision based on traditional values but with the freshness, dynamism, current affairs and quality of a human team that concentrates all its passion on their work in order to turn `El Viejo Tambo` into an ideal site to visit and enjoy with the family.
Our main rural activities include dairy production and pig raising. Both tasks are done paying tribute to the land. It is our starting point to elaborate high-quality products based on natural and craft values.
Besides, our gate is open to all those who wish to enjoy our services. These include agricultural tourism, with guided tours and lunch, snacks and rural lunch-boxes prepared on demand.
Specially designed for visitors, we have a special program on Sundays which consists in rural and/or traditional festivals, as well as social events (weddings and birthdays), corporate events (corporate celebrations, training and family days), collective events (schools, senior citizens and sports clubs) held at a comfortable main rural house with conditioned, fully equipped spaces seating 120 guests and first class service.

There is no doubt that this is the most popular Argentinian folk song. It was composed by Luis Profili, a musician from Mendoza, in the 1950s. Spread by Jorge Cafrune, who made it famous both in the country and abroad, there is no occasion or place where it is failed to be evoked.
