After getting the group ready and adjusting all the riding items, the ride across this garden teeming with plants, trees and creeks begins. The thousands of hectares feature various ideal topographic characteristics and make the Pereyra Iraola Provincial Park a perfect place for the development of horse riding activities.
There are several cross-country tours. Some of them are: the Santa Rosa estancia shell and the Santa Elena Chapel, the Enchanted Forest, the Grandpa Tree, the Rainforest Trail, the Crystal Tree, the Creeks Ford, the Marshlands, the Plantations Route, the Mill and the Medieval Castle.
“With over 10,000 hectares, the Iraola is more important and larger than El Palmar National Reserve, located in the Province of Entre Ríos, and than the petrified forests located in the Province of Santa Cruz”, the guide asserts as he leads the caravan. |

“This is the area with the largest biodiversity in the Province of Buenos Aires. It includes the Punta Lara marginal rainforest reservation, last redoubt of the subtropical rainforest”, the specialist adds as he points at some tall eucalyptus.
Pereyra Iraola Park includes more than 130 exotic and aucthothonous forest species, over 200 species of birds and an ancient unique specimen in South America called “árbol de cristal” (Crystal tree, agathis alba in Latin). Riding across the venue lets visitors feel the various aromas of the environment and the sound of nature while the contact with the animal forces riders to pay attention to the reins, to the pace and the respiration of the horse.
During the ride, besides leading the group, the guides provide technical directions in order to make the process of learning to ride much easier. They correct wrong postures and improve the necessary balance that makes the rider feel confident and the horse feel comfortable. Thus, riding is done properly and safely in all possible gaits (walk, trot, gallop and pace). |
