mblem of Villa La Angostura, since 1978, the Mount Bayo frames its ski resort inside a beautiful natural landscape. Surrounded by forests and with a majestic view of Lake Nahuel Huapi, it is very close to the mountain village and it offers 200 hectares for the practice of alpine skiing, with a 700-meter vertical drop.

Bayo represents an appropriate environment for beginners and advanced skiers, who can count on 23 signaled runs and 12 lifts. Good black runs, deep snow in the ravine and matchless off-piste runs that go through untouched forests from the summit to the base.

In a privileged natural environment, the La Angostura hotel infrastructure and gastronomy, conjugated with the family atmosphere of the Mount Bayo, guarantee excellent winter vacations with the practice of skiing.


How to Get There:
Located 9 km from La Angostura, Province of Neuquén, and only 6 km from National Route 231, known as the Seven Lakes route. It is accessed from Buenos Aires by car, through National Route 3, Provincial Route 51 and then again National Routes 22, 237, 231, 5, 152, 143 and Provincial Route 20 in La Pampa. Then National Routes 151, 22, 237 and 231.
By plane, visitors arrive in San Carlos de Bariloche International Airport, Teniente Luis Candelaria, 85 km from the village.

Season:
Mid from July 3 to July 9. High from July 10 to July 30.

Activities:
Downhill skiing, snowboarding, off-piste.

Gastronomy, equipment rental, skiing and snowboarding school, nursery for kids, snow kindergarten, parking space and security.

Cerro Bayo acquired by a new company:
Early this year, Proideas S.A. & Fiducia Capital have acquired Cerro Bayo S.A. and begun a process of modernization and refurbishing works aimed at managing the complete operation of the lifts and improving the customer service proposal. To this date, Cerro Bayo has the corresponding provincial and municipal authorization to operate six double chairlifts and it is being carried out according to a schedule to complete maintenance tasks in the other lifts.

New Chairlifts:
During the 2007 season, Cerro Bayo will operate the new Los Lagos chairlift, installed in 2006 but closed during the previous season. Likewise, the Del Bosque chairlift has been renovated and refurbished after remaining inoperative for two years. With all these lifts, Cerro Bayo will be operating 100% with a capacity to transport 3,600 passengers per hour.
